ITU-T Study Group 11 - Signalling requirements, protocols and test specifications

Executive summary of the WP1, 2, 3 and 4/11 meetings (Kampala and Geneva, 7-20 November 2013)

WP1, 2 and 3/11 meetings were held in Kampala, Uganda, 7-13 November 2013 and were attended by 58 participants from 20 countries. WP4/11 meeting was held in Geneva, Switzerland, 14-20 November 2013 and was attended by 29 participants from 15 countries. Along with face-to-face meetings, all sessions of WP4/11 meeting (in Geneva) were supported by remote participation capabilities.

3.2 Liaison officers
Some new liaison officers were appointed (pending SG11 Plenary endorsement in July 2014) at the meetings.

4.      Correspondence Groups

A new Correspondence Group (CG) on collaboration between ITU-T and testing laboratories for ITU C&I programme was established. The ToR of the CG are to be found: TD 294 Rev.1 (GEN/11). Mr Isaac Boateng, NCA, Ghana was appointed as Convener of this CG and a face-to-face meeting is planned during Q11/11 interim Rapporteur meeting in February 2014.

5.      C&I Pilot Projects

WP4/11 started one Pilot project related to C&I Programme in collaboration with SG2 and is considering another pilot project in collaboration with SG15:
- Pilot project on network management interface related Recommendations ITU-T M.3170 series in collaboration with SG2;
- Possible Pilot project on G.hn conformance testing in collaboration with SG15.

6.     C&I Living list of key technologies and reference table of ITU-T Recommendations to be tested for conformity/interoperability

WP4/11 has updated the C&I relevant-output documents. The current updated versions are reported as follows:
− Reference table of ITU-T Recommendations to be tested for conformity/interoperability [TD 300 Rev.1 (GEN/11)];
− Living list of key technologies which are under study in SG11 and are suitable for conformance and/or interoperability testing [TD 301 Rev.1 (GEN/11)].
