Dhananjay Kumar

Dhananjay Kumar ITU.jpg​Dhananjay Kumar received his undergraduate degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering from the Institution of Engineers (India), Calcutta, in the year 1997. He was awarded a Master of Engineering (M. E.) degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, in the year 1999 and subsequently he obtained a Master of Technology (M. Tech.) degree in Communication Engineering at the Pondicherry Engineering College, Pondicherry in the year 2001. A Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) degree was awarded to him by Anna University, Chennai in the year 2009 for his research work on high quality multimedia support in next generation multi-carrier wireless mobile networks. Currently he is the Professor-in-charge of undergraduate program in the department of Information Technology, Anna University, MIT, Chennai.

Dr. Dhananjay Kumar and his team have developed a system to support medical video streaming over 3G wireless networks; which was sponsored by the University Grant Commission of Government of India, New Delhi. Presently he is developing a system for the remote analysis of streamed video. A team under his guidance is working on improving the capability of hand-held devices through cloud computing.
