Paulo César Teixeira is Managing Director and Executive Officer (CEO) and a member of the Board of Directors of Telefônica Brasil SA (Vivo). Is CEO of Vivo since September 10, 2011. He began his career in the telecommunications industry in 1980 as an engineer at Telecommunication Company Riograndense-CRT in RS. From 2003 to 2011, was Executive Vice President of Operations (COO) of Vivo. From 1998 to 2002, he served as Vice President of Operations (COO) of Telefonica Celular, based in Rio de Janeiro. From 1995 to 1998 he was Director of Engineering and subsequently Managing Director Business System Telebras. Mr. Teixeira graduated in electrical engineering from the Catholic University of Pelotas. He has attended several courses abroad, such as: New Techniques in Telecommunications Ecole Nationale Superieure Des Telecommunications in Paris (1992) and the Advanced Management Program at the University of Navarra in Barcelona (2001).
