Session 1: Overview of ITU-T Standardization and SG12 Activities

Objectives: This session provides an overview of ITU-T, an overview of Study Group 12 as well as an introduction of the ITU-T SG12 Regional Group on QoS for the Africa Region (SG12 RG-AFR).

​Session 2: Content and presentation of Recommendation E.MQoS

Objectives:  This session looks into the purpose the purpose and the structure of the draft new Recommendation ITU-T E.MQoS on mobile QoS parameters.  E.MQoS looks at mobile QoS parameters from a user perspective which is different from technology-centric KPIs.

Session 3: Applicability for QoS assessment based on E.MQoS

Objectives: This session discusses which parameters from draft new Recommendation should be applied for QoS assessment under which circumstances. In this context the relation to the draft new Supplement to the E.800 series of Recommendations will also be looked into.

Session 4: Mobile Internet QoS evaluation, methodology and tools for 3G networks
Country case: Morocco

Objectives: This session discusses mobile Internet QoS evaluation issues.  After a brief introduction of a framework of QoS/QoE measurement, type of measurements will be shown.  Then, measurement parameters, platform and tools will be introduced.  The country case of Morocco will also be presented.

Objectives: This session discusses Internet QoS issues focusing on broadband.

Session 6: Pre-Launching QoS Contractual Matters and QoS Experiences 

Objectives:  This session discusses QoS contractual parameters referring to Recommendation ITU-T E.803.  It also discusses the way to harmonize non-standardized parameters with standards. Experiences on QoS in Burkina Faso will also be introduced.
