Marcel Kiessling graduated with a diploma and a master in Electronic and Mechatronic Systems from Georg Simon Ohm University of Applied Sciences, Nuremberg, Germany and is currently in a Doctoral Program in Computer Science at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. He joined Siemens in 2003 and is working for an innovation management department dealing with real time communication systems.
Since 2009 he is involved in the standardization of deterministic Ethernet (IEEE 802.1 Time Sensitive Networking, TSN). Inside Siemens he is working as project manager on research projects for industrial communication.
