Oscar Leon Suarez obtained his Electrical Engineering at the Pontificia Javeriana University in Bogota. He has a post-graduate degree in Telecommunication’s Project Management from Politecnico Grancolombiano and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Sabana in Bogota.
Since November 2010, Oscar Leon is the General Director of the National Spectrum Agency in Colombia – ANE. He was a leader and coordinator of the successful auctioning of the 4G technology in Colombia. He plays an important role in project administration and the implementation of new businesses. He has ample experience in the planning, development and appropriation of new technology and tactics. He also has plenty of experience in the organization and management of technical, legal and financial cases. He was an advisor to three different ministers from the Ministry of Technology of Information and Communications. He was the manager of regulatory planning at Comcel, as well as a project manager at Netsurf-Microsoft Solutions Provider and the technical director at Hitech.
