Terrestrial Publication and Registration Division (TPR)

​​​​​​​The Terrestrial Publication and Registration Division (TPR) is responsible for the processing of information submitted by the administrations for updating the Master International Frequency Register (MIFR), Terrestrial Plans, List of Coast Stations (List IV), List of Ship Stations (List V), List of International Monitoring Stations (List VIII), etc. and the preparation of the corresponding service publications.​

TPR also regularly publishes summaries of High Frequency monitoring information and the special monitoring programme in the frequency band 405.9-406.2 MHz based on the reports received from administrations participating in these programmes.

TPR maintains the Master International Frequency Register (MIFR), the Maritime mobile Access and Retrieval System (MARS) database in support of the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS) and the database of frequencies for use in emergency and disaster relief situations.

TPR provides assistance to administrations with regards to notification issues (including notifications of coast stations and ship stations) and for resolving cases of harmful interference.

Guidance for Notification for terrestrial services

​The main objective of the notification is to obtain international recognition by recording frequency assignments in the Master International Frequency Register (MIFR).

BR IFIC - Publication of frequency assignments and allotments

Notified frequency assignments and allotments are published every 2 weeks in the BR International Frequency Information Circular (BR IFIC) which is distributed free of charge to each administration.

MARS - Maritime mobile Access and Retrieval System

This system provides users with the means to access and retrieve operational information on ship and coast stations.The relevant notification forms, used for the submission of data for inclusion into the List of Coast Stations and Special Service Stations (List IV) and the List of Ship Stations and Maritime Mobile Service Identity Assignments (List V), are also available.
