END OF THE TRANSITION PERIOD
 | ITU Member States party to the GE06 Agreement established a transition period intended to facilitate the migration from analogue to digital television broadcasting through the protection of analogue assignments. This transition period started on 17 June 2006 and ended on 17 June 2015 with the exception of the VHF band in 34 countries for which the transition period will end on 17 June 2020.
