International Cyber Shield Exercise 2014, 15 – 16 May 2014, Istanbul, Turkey

OVERVIEW

Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), at the kind invitation of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA), Republic of Turkey, is co-organizing together with the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications of Turkey, in collaboration with the International Multilateral Partnership Against Cyber Threats (IMPACT), the International Cyber Shield Exercise 2014 (ICSE 2014), which will take place from 15 to 16 May 2014 in Istanbul, Turkey.

This Exercise aims to contribute to ongoing global activities related to building confidence and security in the use of ICTs (WSIS Action Line C5) and is linked to the ITU Global Cybersecurity Agenda (GCA) and Hyderabad Action Plan Programme 2 (Cybersecurity, ICT Applications and IP-based network-related issues).

Furthermore, this event aims to provide a platform for information sharing on key aspects pertaining to Cybersecurity and with particular focus on the effective handling of incidents by CSIRT/CIRT/CERT. It expects to bring together CIRT practitioners, senior government officials, Cybersecurity experts, related industry players and other stakeholder groups from ICT and security sectors with the end in view of strengthening your national CIRT.

Please note that the meeting will be paperless. Participants are invited to download and print the documents needed for the event. The meeting will be conducted in English only.

Please note that while ICTA-Turkey will cover accommodation and local transfers, there is no participation fee for this meeting, and expenses concerning travel and insurance of experts should be covered by your Administration.
