2-6 April 2012 -  visit of the ITU TSB Director, Mr. Malcolm Johnson to Tashkent, Uzbekistan at the invitation of the Communication Administration of Uzbekistan to attend the ITU Regional Forum "Bridging the Standardization Gap for RCC countries" and the RCC Regional Preparatory Meetings  for the Wold Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA-12) and the World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT-12).

26-28 April – visit of the ITU BDT Director, Mr. Brahima Sanou to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan at the invitation of the Communication Administration of Kyrgyz Republic

13-15 May 2012 – visit of the ITU Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Houlin Zhao to Moscow, Russia at the invitation of the Communication Administration of the Russian Federation  for participation in Expocom-2012

28 July – 1 August 2012 – unofficial visit to the ITU Secretary-General, Dr. Hamadoun Toure to Moscow, Russian Federation to attend the 90^th anniversary of Russian scientist, one of the founders of digital broadcasting Mr. Mark Krivosheyev

22-24 August 2012 – visit of of the ITU BR Director, Mr. Francois Rancy to Kyrgyzstan for participation in the ITU workshop for the CIS "Enhansing of Public-private Partnership in the CIS Countries within the  framework of the Activities of the ITU Sectors", Chok-Tal, Republic of Kyrgyzstan
