ITU Regional Workshop for CIS and Georgia on Radiocommunication Development Trends in the light of WRC-15 and RA-15 Yerevan, Republic of Armenia, 27-29 June 2016


PURPOSE

The Workshop aims at sharing practical experience and elaboration of recommendations for CIS countries and Georgia for development of advanced radiocommunication systems.

In particular, the workshop will cover the following issues:

  • RRB role in the light of the WRC-15 decisions
  • ITU-R Study Groups tasks for 2015-2019
  • Experiences of the RCC communication administrations in the preparations for and participation in WRC-15/RA-15
  • Development of advanced terrestrial and space radiocommunication systems in the light of the WRC-15 decisions
  • Improvement of procedures and technical principles of orbital and frequency resource use by satellite radiocommunication systems based on the results of WRC-15
  • Evolution of radiofrequency spectrum for aeronautic, maritime, and terrestrial mobile services and meeting requirements of advanced technologies;
  • Revised criteria of satellite communication systems' compatibility at geostationary orbit
  • Trends in the development of broadband access systems, including IMT
  • Prospects of use of the frequency bands below 790 MHz by the systems of radio broadcasting and mobile services
  • Decisions of WRC-15 and RA-15 with special relevance to developing countries
