This Workshop is addressed to representatives of the communication administrations, telecommunications regulators, telecommunications providers, scientific and research institutions, universities and other stakeholders of the ITU Member States, ITU Sector Members and Associates from the CIS region.
The main objective of the Workshop is exchange of practical experiences in the field of NGN building in the countries of the CIS region.
In particular, the Workshop will cover following issues:
- Creation of active and passive access networks considering new recommendations and standards:
- Different types of optical fibre (monomode and multimode);
- Characteristics of optical fibres and their influence on transmitting distance;
- Position of optical fibres on the sections of the considered network;
- New solutions in both the modulation characteristics and in the issues of increase of the number of subscribers for access networks.
The Workshop will be conducted in Russian.
