AIBD/ITU/ABU Pre-Summit Regional Workshop on Enabling & Enhancing the DTT Broadcasting Experiences

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD) and the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) are jointly organizing a Pre-Summit Regional Workshop on Enabling & Enhancing the DTT Broadcasting Experiences to be held in Incheon, Republic of Korea, on 23 May 2016. The Workshop will precede the Asia Media Summit 2016 which will be held from 24 to 26 May 2016.

The pre-summit workshop organised by AIBD/ITU/ABU/ aims to provide broadcasters and other media professionals a clear understanding to digital broadcasting services. This one-day workshop provides expert knowledge and information on the current status of the digital terrestrial television broadcasting, Interactive multimedia services, Digital broadcasting: issues & challenges as well as sharing some of the case studies and experiences on analogue to digital implementation.

It is envisaged that at the end of the workshop the participants will be able to understand:
   • Updated on technology trend and status of digital broadcasting transition worldwide    
   • Smooth transition from analogue to digital terrestrial television broadcasting
   • Country experiences on transition from analogue to digital terrestrial television broadcasting
