FAO-ITU E-agriculture Solutions Forum 2018, held from 15-17 November 2018 at Nanjing, China organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and is hosted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs P.R. China. The Department of Communications and the Arts (Australia) has kindly supported the event through ITU-DoCA project.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have great potential to accelerate countries in achieving the national agricultural goals and targets. Strategic deployment of these solutions would significantly accelerate the capability to harness the potential. In this context, the FAO and the ITU with support from partners have developed E-agriculture Strategy Guide, are assisting countries in developing and implementing their e-agriculture strategies, and are also organizing capacity building and awareness raising activities including E-agriculture Solutions Forum 2016. This year's Forum will bring together stakeholders from the agriculture and the ICT sector involved in developing and deploying ICT for agriculture solutions.

The Forum aimed to
- bring together proven e-agriculture solutions that will benefit agriculture stakeholders;
- share knowledge on successful e-agriculture solutions and identifying ways of scaling up implementations;
- strengthen the Community-of-Practice (CoP) among e-agriculture solution providers; and
- share experiences in implementing ICT solutions for agriculture.

The three day Forum would also include exhibition from e-agriculture solution providers. It will also provide valuable opportunities for networking to further strengthen national e-agriculture implementation programmes and build partnerships.
