ITU Global Emergencies Response Effort - Earthquake hits Japan

Make a donation to the ITU Global Emergencies Response effort

In our ongoing effort to assist ITU Member States in preparing for natural disasters and responding effectively in the aftermath, ITU calls for contributions from Member States, Sector Members, Development Banks, Individuals and all like-minded entities.

The recent spate of natural disasters has caused untold havoc, taking a huge toll on human life and the destruction of property and critical infrastructure. Thanks to the contributions from our partners, ITU has intervened rapidly in emergencies across the globe in an effort to save lives.

Most recently, ITU has deployed effectively in Haiti, Chile, Pakistan, Indonesia, and now in Japan. We receive and acknowledge all contributions made to the ITU Framework for Cooperation in Emergencies (IFCE)  Pdf format - 100kB which has been established as a unique global initiative.
