This Recommendation describes the necessity of “Smart Ubiquitous Networks” as a short-term realization of Future Networks. And this draft Recommendation identifies objectives, and the high-level requirements for providing relevant network and service capabilities in terms of “Smart and Ubiquitous” aspects of networks. Various capabilities to support “Smart and Ubiquitous” aspects such as context awareness, content awareness, smart resource management, programmability, autonomic network management and ubiquity, are identified in this Recommendation in a high level view.
