Western Africa, bordering the North Atlantic Ocean and Senegal.

Climate (in June):
Tropical. June in Gambia is the 'rainy' and hot season but the country still gets an average of 5 hours of sunlight/day.

The local time is Greenwich Mean Time.

Vaccinations:
The Gambia's only mandatory health requirement is a yellow fever vaccination. Anti-malaria medication is recommended. However, participants are requested to check with the health authorities in their respective countries.

Visa Requirements:
A valid passport is obligatory. Citizens of the member countries of ECOWAS, all Commonwealth countries, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden do not need a visa/entry permit for visas up to 90 days. Otherwise, there is a visa fee (American citizens are exempt) plus a processing fee for all applicants.
