eHealth pavilion - saving lives with ICT

Curious about how ICT is changing the outlook for global health? Several global declarations have shown the resolve of countries to use information and communication technology to improve health, such as: ITU WTDC 2003 in Istanbul Turkey; the World Health Assembly, Geneva 2005. One hundred ninety-three countries (members states of WHO) have committed to using ICT to improve their health systems. ITU TELECOM TV will once again be a major part of ITU TELECOM WORLD 2009. The event's onsite official television service, ITU TELECOM TV, will broadcast for the duration of the event’s original programming consisting of CEO and keynote interviews, industry debates, exhibition news and Live forum webcast. This original programming produced by TELECOMTV the official on line TV partner is broadcast from the studio at the heart of Geneva-Palexpo. Once you are registered, arriving to Geneva and getting to the event couldn't be easier. Geneva city centre, the airport and the Geneva-Palexpo venue are all easily reachable by train or bus using the united network of public transport (Unireso). Plus, the personalized entry badge to WORLD 2009 serves as a free transportation pass from 5-9 October for all public transport routes in Geneva, whether trains, busses, trams or boats.
