INDUSTRY ANALYST ACCREDITATION PROCEDURE
APPLYING FOR INDUSTRY ANALYST ACCREDITATION

Industry Analysts who have already accredited for any ITU event taking place in 2006 need only complete the boxed section of the Industry Analyst Accreditation Form (providing their contact details remain unaltered). Proof of analyst credentials is not required.

Industry Analysts who have not been accredited with us this year are requested to complete the entire Form and return it with*:

  • a letter of assignment from the Managing Director of the Analyst House;

plus, any one of the following documents:

  • a recent copy of the page of the publication by the analyst house which provides the names of the analyst team and which lists the industry analyst seeking accreditation;

  • copies of recently (within the last 6 months) published reports or articles where the industry analyst is credited.

Industry Analysts invited by exhibitors should note that the Industry Analyst Accreditation Form still needs to be completed and submitted along with the required credentials*.

*Credentials (URLs, PDF files, etc.) can be added as an attachment to the form.

ELIGIBILITY FOR INDUSTRY ANALYST ACCREDITATION

Accreditation may be granted to Analysts who:

  • follow the telecommunications market;

  • are currently employed as an industry analyst by an internationally recognized analyst house;

  • report in one of the publications issued by the analyst house.

Please also note that we can only accredit analysts whose reports are generally available to the public. Analysts who are working on reports that are circulated internally or to a select group of clients, are not eligible for ITU accreditation. To maintain eligibility for accreditation to future ITU events, proof of editorial coverage must be submitted to the ITU TELECOM Media Relations Service by June 2007.

All non-editorial staff such as sales, advertising, public relations, marketing, etc. executives and technical staff cannot be granted industry analyst or media credentials and should register as a visitor to attend the Event or as a Delegate to also attend the Forum.

COLLECTING ANALYST ACCREDITATION

Applications for analyst accreditation are considered on a case-by-case basis and the decisions of the ITU Press Office are final. Applicants will be notified when their documents have been accepted.

To collect your badge, a valid passport (or the Hong Kong permanent identity card (PIC)) must be presented. Badges can be collected from the on-site Media Centre as of Friday, 1 December 2006.

We strongly recommend you register prior to the Event in order to avoid unnecessary delays in receiving your Analyst badge or in gaining full access to the venue. Please take special note that anyone registering on-site as an analyst must comply with the above procedure (ie letter of assignment plus additional credentials and valid photo id).

Any queries concerning the media accreditation process should be directed to our ITU TELECOM Media Relations Service.
