GUIDELINES FOR FORUM SESSION INVITED SPEAKING PARTICIPANTS

Please read this information carefully before pressing the ENTER button at the bottom of this page

To ensure your participation in the Forum, the Forum Division has adopted the following working methods with regard to all Participants:

  1. Issue of invitation letter by ITU Secretary-General, Mr. Yoshio Utsumi, together with a reply coupon to be returned confirming your participation.

  2. Please be advised that, for practical reasons, the ITU TELECOM Forum Division will correspond only with the Forum participants. Coordinators who wish to access the same information as the Forum participants for logistical reasons, should contact the Forum Manager, Ms. Elizabeth Lake (elizabeth.lake@itu.int).

  3. As soon as we receive your reply-coupon, a follow-up letter will be sent to you. This letter gives the URL and a username and password to allow access to a secure part of the TELECOM website containing Guidelines for Forum Participants which can be downloaded in English. This document also contains important information on morning Briefing Sessions on-site in Geneva.

  4. You can also access Guidelines for Electronic Submission of your final manuscript. ALL Forum Participants are encouraged to submit a final manuscript of 5000-6000 words by the deadline of midnight Geneva time, Monday, 22 September 2003 (for inclusion in the CD-Rom to be distributed to Forum delegates at the event.

  5. This secure part of the TELECOM website also gives Participants access to the contact details of all the other Participants in their particular session. This is to enable, in particular, the Chairman/Moderator to initiate contact and to communicate the planning of his/her session. Contact details are posted as soon as each Participant has confirmed his/her participation.

  6. Audiovisual Facilities Available to Forum Speakers.

  7. At the beginning of October, you will also be able to access a Final Information Document. This document will contain all the information pertaining to your visit to Geneva and to your participation in the ITU TELECOM World event – in particular, speaker registration, details of audio-visual rehearsals etc.
