“Helping
the World Communicate”
|
|
The
ITU has long provided the leading platform for debate on critical
issues within the world of telecommunications. The magnitude of such
issues is now greater than ever before. Since TELECOM
99, priorities in the telecommunication world have changed almost beyond
recognition. Unprecedented challenges as well as major opportunities
face the telecommunications and information technology sectors
today.
|
 |
The
Forum at ITU TELECOMWorld 2003 will play a pivotal role in addressing these challenges
and opportunities, and will break the mould of past events in order
to confront the new realities and focus on the future structure of
telecommunications in its broadest sense. |

The
Forum Programme gives
the overall format of this event. Please click on the session to
access full speaker details. Pre-registration is now open using the
on-line registration form. Plenary sessions every morning will
address the main themes of that day, and each afternoon parallel
sessions will permit a more focused debate on business, policy and
technology issues.
|
 |
The
main Forum will be complemented by a Telecom Development Symposium (TDS) and, for the first time at World
TELECOM, a Youth Forum and a series of Showcase
Presentations. |
