ITU Anti-Spam Service
The ITU has added an Anti-Spam System in the TIES mail environment that can reduce unsolicited commercial e-mail in your mailboxes. The Anti-SPAM feature we are using is based on public databases maintained on the Internet, which contain well-known mail systems that are sending a lot of unsolicited commercial e-mail. By default, the Anti-Spam service is enabled on your TIES mailbox. Please be aware that all the work on setting up a filter will only do so much. This is not a guarantee of Spam free mailboxes; there is still the possibility of new Spam mails being received despite all that has been done to stop it. There is a possibility that certain legitimate mails are refused. The
sender of the blocked e-mail message will receive a notification indicating the following: “Mail from host "remote_host" was rejected by the Anti-Spam system. The e-mail system you used is listed in one or many public databases maintained on the Internet. For details see http://www.itu.int/res/msg/mailreject.html . For urgent matters, please send mail to ituinfo @itu.int mail dispatch service. (ref. )” You have the choice to un-subscribe to the Anti-SPAM service. To do so, login with your TIES account at http://www.itu.int/TIES/ and click on 'Edit My Account'. The Anti-SPAM Service section is found at the bottom of the TIES account management page. For more information, please see the FAQ page. If you need assistance or would like to send comments and/or suggestions,
please feel free to contact us. |
