JSAT Corporation is a leading satellite operator in the Asia-Pacific region. JSAT owns and operates eight satellites in seven orbital slots. In addition to these satellites, Horizons Satellite LLC, the JSAT's joint venture with PanAmSat Corporation, will commence a new service with the Horizons-1 satellite at 127 K West longitude orbital slot toward the end of this year. This move will make JSAT the first Asian satellite operator to have its own satellite that covers North America.
