Privilege Management in X.509 (2000) |
Abstract
X.509(2000) is the first version to standardise the components of Privilege
Management Infrastructures (PMIs). This complements X.509's position
as the foremost standard for Public Key Infrastructures (PKIs). PMIs
provide a distributed highly secure way of managing authorisation tokens
(called attribute certificates), in the same way that PKIs provide
an infrastructure for managing public key certificate authentication
tokens. This presentation introduces delegates to the components
and concepts of PMIs as described in Edition 4 of X.509.
