Introduction
The System Design Languages (SDL) Forum Society is a non-profit organization established by language users and tool
providers to promote and develop ITU-T modelling techniques. SDL Forum activity is closely aligned with ITU-T, which
recommends and publishes the languages ASN.1, MSC, SDL, eODL, TTCN and URN. For more information about the SDL Forum
Society and its events, please see the web page

The SDL Forum Society organizes a Workshop on System Analysis and Modelling (SAM), formerly known as the SDL and MSC
Workshops every other year serving as a platform where the evolution and use of SDL and technologies is discussed.
SAM workshops are targeted at academics and others involved in these areas.
In 2006, SAM'06 was held on May 31st - June 2nd at University of Kaiserslautern in
Kaiserslautern Germany. For more information about SAM'06, please see the web page

Also organized by the The SDL Forum Society was the SDL Forum event, which takes place every second year to
address topics related to the modelling and analysis of reactive systems, distributed systems such as
telecommunications, automotive, aerospace and web-based applications, where SDL are used. The intended
audience includes users of modelling techniques (in industrial research and standardization contexts),
tool vendors, and language researchers.
