Dr. Walter Maisel is the Executive Vice President for Magna International where he is responsible for building and managing Magna’s new Electronics Group.
Previously, Dr. Maisel was employed for 15 years with Siemens and SiemensVDO. His last position was Vice President and General Manager for Interior and Infotainment in North America. His career there also included assignments as Vice President, Driver Information Systems for Siemens Automotive; Senior Vice President, Industrial and Automotive, Siemens Semiconductor; Vice President and General Manager, Siemens Automation and Director Research & Development, Siemens Automation.
Dr. Maisel started his professional career with Praxis Electronics; a United Kingdom based engineering company where he worked in the area of safety critical software.
His academic career includes an Assistant Professorship in Mathematics and Computer Science as well as degrees in Mathematics and Electronics and a Degree as Dr. rer. Nat. in Computer Science.
He is married and has two children.
