Anita Helgesson RN M.Sc.
Anita Helgesson holds the post of Organisation developer in the Municipality of Vännäs in the county of
Västerbotten in Sweden. She is currently the lead partner project manager in the REMEDY project. She
completed an MSc thesis in 1997 entitled "Liaisonship and its Emotional part in Compulsory care and Treatment".
She is involved in several collaborative national/international projects in the health care and telemedicine
area and has presented at10 national conferences
Eileen Brebner
Eileen Brebner holds the post of Fellow in Telemedicine. She is based in the Telemedicine Laboratory,
Remote Health Care Unit in the Department of General Practice and Primary Care, Faculty of Medicine and
Medical Science at the University of Aberdeen. She completed an MSc thesis in 1998 entitled "Telemedicine
and Medical Education". She has lead several collaborative international and national projects on telemedicine.
She is author of 20 telemedicine papers and has presented at 40 National/International conferences.
Dr John Brebner Ph. D
Dr Brebner is currently a senior Lecturer at the Department of General Practice and Primary Care,
University of Aberdeen. He is Director of the Remote Health Care Unit and has been involved in the
provision of health care to remote areas for 20 years. He has published forty peer reviewed papers
on the subject.
