Recommendation ITU-T X.1042 supports the protection of network resources using security services based on software-defined networking (SDN). This Recommendation first classifies the network resources for SDN-based security services: SDN application, SDN controller, SDN switch and security manager (SM). This Recommendation then defines security services based on SDN.
