Guidelines on energy efficient blockchain systems
Several models have been introduced to calculate the urban energy system and to demonstrate the variants that calibrate the local energy efficiency. Recommendation ITU-T L.1317 focuses on the impact of blockchain in energy efficiency. A literature analysis is performed with regard to the understanding of the blockchain energy demands and how these can be optimized. The aim of this Recommendation is to explain the energy demand of blockchain, to define the blockchain energy model and to describe the energy efficiency parameters that can be calibrated in order to enhance the corresponding energy efficiency.
