About the ITU Green Standards Week

ITU together with TechAmerica Europe organized the second Green Standards Week from 17 to 21 September 2012 in Paris, France, which was hosted by Microsoft.

The Green Standards Week brought together leading specialists in the field, from top policy-makers to engineers, designers, planners, government officials, regulators, standards experts and others.

The main purpose was to raise awareness of the importance and opportunities of using ICT standards to build a green economy.

ITU Green ICT Applications Challenge Award Ceremony

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and Telefónica organized the second ITU Green ICT Applications Challenge to find the best and most innovative ideas for an ICT application to help promote Sustainable Energy for All.

The Award Ceremony of the second ITU Green ICT Applications Challenge took place on 19 September 2012 during the ITU Green Standards Week (17-21 September 2012) in Paris, France
