Description of the BR IFIC

The BR WIC / IFIC is divided into three main Parts, numbered I-S, II-S and III-S. Additionally it may have, when required:

an Appendix
series of Annexes
series of Special Sections of the WIC / IFIC

Each BR WIC / IFIC is identified by a unique serial number, and by the date of publication.

The Special Sections are identified by a symbol referring to the purpose of the publication, as indicated in paragraph 2 below, and by a composite serial number containing a consecutive numbering and the number of the BR WIC / IFIC with which it is issued.

The BR WIC was published weekly on the paper. The BR IFIC is published biweekly on the CD-ROM.

Definition of the BR WIC / IFIC Parts
Part I-S - Notifications received concerning new frequency assignments or modifications or cancellations of recorded assignments.
Part II-S - Findings adopted concerning new frequency assignments or modifications to existing frequency assignments resulting in the recording of the frequency assignment in the Master Register.
Part III-S - Unfavorable Findings adopted concerning new frequency assignments or modifications to existing frequency assignments resulting in the return of the notice to the notifying administration.

Appendix to the BR WIC / IFIC (Space Services)
The Appendix contains the explanation of any new code or symbol used in the BR WIC / IFIC not yet appearing in the Preface.

Annex to the BR IFIC (Space Services)
The Bureau publishes on a quarterly basis, in an Annex to the BR WIC / IFIC, an updated list of space networks – Space Networks List (SNL). The Annex may contains also a special publications not listed in the Preface.
