GSR11 Best practice guidelines
The GSR11 Best practice guidelines focus on identifying innovative regulatory approaches that policy makers and regulators can take to advance the deployment of broadband networks, encourage innovation and extend digital literacy to enable digital inclusion of all in a broadband world.
They identify innovative policy and regulatory approaches in the following areas:
- Funding mechanisms to foster public and private investment in broadband, defining the policy and regulatory framework, goals and achievements expected
- Investment incentives, coordination with stakeholders, other national entities involved and collaboration at the regional and international levels
- Stimulating innovation and development of applications and services
- Expanding Digital literacy
The Best Practice Guidelines were adopted during GSR11 by the regulators and policy makers
participating in the event.
The consultation was coordinated by Mr Cristhian Lizcano OrtÝz, Executive Director of the Communications Regulatory Commission of Colombia (CRC).
