EFFECTIVE REGULATION IN A BROADBAND WORLD
 Executive-level Training for Regulators

Yasmine - Hammamet, Tunisia
12TH – 13TH November 2005

With the advent of the broadband world, Regulators globally are reviewing their roles. How to apply the best methods to ensure an enabling environment for the Information Society? How to effectively harness the promise of new technologies? These issues and more will be addressed at the first Executive-level Training for Regulators on Effective Regulation in a Broadband World.

Insights on Effective Regulation in a Broadband World were the focus of day one. Issues such as why regulate, regulatory independence, structure of the regulator and regulatory procedures have been specifically examined. The morning session of the second day focused on the way forward, relations between regulators and regulated companies and how to address upcoming challenges. Professor W.
