Smokers (staff members
and delegates) are reminded that it is forbidden to smoke in front of
the Tower and Montbrillant entrances. Smoking in these areas gives a
negative image of ITU to people entering our buildings or passing by in
the street.
For this reason, outside ashtrays have been
placed discreetly away from these entrances.
Smoking is allowed
near the outside ashtrays as follows:

Near the Montbrillant entrance: the
ashtray is on the front wall of the lift to the Parking des Nations,
under the rain cover at the lift entrance;

Near the Tower entrance (Place des
Nations facade): the ashtray is attached to the pillar nearest to
Avenue Guiseppe-Motta;

Near the Varembé entrance: there are
ashtrays on two of the white pillars at the top of the steps.
Please note that it
also is forbidden to smoke on the terrace of the Montbrillant cafeteria.
In order to keep
ITU surroundings clean, persons smoking outside are requested not to
throw empty plastic coffee cups or cigarette ends on the ground, but to
use the nearest bin and ashtrays for this purpose.
