Akvo builds open source internet and mobile software which is used to make international development cooperation and aid activity more effective and transparent. They provide the software as a service to the vast majority of the organizations with which they work, backed by a partner-support and training team.

Akvo is a non-profit foundation headquartered in the Netherlands with staff in Sweden, Kenya, Burkina Faso, the UK, Germany, Spain, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Finland and the United States. Akvoís tools are open source and used by over 1,500 organizations throughout the world in areas such as water, sanitation, health, education and economic development.
