Mintel prompted creation of the ICT Plan for Public Safety

The Vice-Minister of Telecommunications and the Information Society (Mr. Javier Veliz), together with representatives and delegates from various institutions responsible for promoting public safety in the country remained the Third Coordination Meeting of the Plan of Information and Communication Technology ICT for the Citizen Security.

At the meeting, which took place at the premises of the Ministry of Telecommunications, they analyzed the policies of the Plan, which forms part of the Digital Strategy; also they defined the conformation of the Plan Committee and the Planning Team that will represent it. At the meeting, representatives of Mintel spoke on projects developed regarding this subject. Thus, the ministerial adviser, Juan Carlos Cardoso, was involved with the issue "Ecuador Digital Strategy", the Technology Plan Manager, Architect Hugo Gonzalez, intervened on the theme "Functional Structure of the Plan" and the Director of online-Government, Econ. Julia Rodriguez, proposed programs and projects of the Plan.

These resources are applied in projects focused on prevention, mitigation and emergency response of the citizens, which are under the direction of the objectives of the National Plan for Good Living, run by the government.
