The Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Society from Ecuador (Mintel) and SENACYT are institutions that share common interests in the field of research, science and technology. Mintel and SENACYT promotes coordination with public and private institutions, scientific and technological research in the field of information and communication technologies for the development of information society and knowledge.

The purpose of the agreement between Mintel and SENACYT is to establish a general framework of cooperation to coordinate and joint actions that allow to allocate  the financial, human and technical resources of the institutions involved in conducting studies and projects.

The specific objectives of this agreement are:

- Supporting each other and cooperate for the development, promotion and dissemination of scientific research and innovation - technology in Ecuador.

- Participate jointly in terms of scholarships, training, conferences, seminars, workshops and other related to the promotion and dissemination of science and technology.
