The Centre of Excellence Project aims at providing sustainable and long lasting capacity building solutions for decision-makers and executive staff of the Telecommunication Sector in all regions.
In the case of the ASP Region the CoE project relies on a case-by-case commitment of the participating countries at any time a given CoE workshop has to be implemented (recently Mongolia, Japan, Lao, Cambodia and Vietnam) and on the kind initiative of some participating organizations for hosting the CoE web-site resources (OFTA Hong-Kong, IDA Singapore, ITU Asia-Pacific Regional Office).
Apart from training materials, the CoE products consist mainly on electronic resources that can be accessed through a web-based portal, either for e-learning activities or stand-alone individual use. They cover 3 main areas: Business Management, Regulatory Practices and Technology Awareness.
