Pre-Registration

The Preliminary Planning Meeting for the project on “Support for Harmonization of ICT Policies in Sub-Sahara Africa (HIPSSA)", Addis Ababa, 11-12 December 2008 is by invitation only.

The meeting is addressed to participants from the following countries: Angola, Benin, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroun, Cape-Verde, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Eritrea, Ethiopia, France, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Uganda, Central African Republic, Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda. Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Swaziland, Tanzania, Chad, Togo, United Kingdom, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Pre-registration and fellowship requests will be exclusively online. Fellowship requests are accepted until Friday 28 November 2008. After this date, please contact directly the Fellowships Service (bdtfellowships or Tel: +41 22 730 5487)

There will be registration onsite from 10 December from 08:30.

Fellowships

Eligibility and deadline

Two full fellowships may be made available per regional organization. Although the number of delegates from an organization is not limited, any additional participants above the two fellows will be participating at the cost of their respective organization. Among the fellows, at least one representative should ideally be involved in the ICT regulatory harmonization field. Candidates for these fellowships are invited to submit their request not later than Friday 28 November 2008 by completing the appropriate section of the form.

Entitlement

A full fellowship includes one return Economy class airticket by the most direct/economical route from the country of origin to Addis Ababa as well as a daily allowance to cover accommodation, meals and incidental expenses.

Procedure

While the registration is done by pressing the "submit button", fellowship applications should not be sent with the “submit” button. After having registered with the "submit" button, please print the form, sign it, have it signed by the approving officer of your administration, get the form stamped (official stamp of the administration). Once complete, you may either scan it and email it to BDT bdtfellowships OR fax it to +41 22 730 5778.

It is imperative that fellows be present from the first day to end of the meeting and participate during the entire fellowship period.
