Osman Turan is the new CEO of Ncell and brings with him an impressive professional record. Born in 1975 in Turkey, Turan pursued his Masters in International Relations and Law from Tbilisi State University, Georgia. He started working as Sales Supervisor from 1997 till 1999 at Geocell Ltd, while he was still a student. Later he was promoted to Sales Coordinator (1999-2001) and to Sales Manager from 2001 to 2004. At the young age of 29, Turan was given the post of CEO of Geocell in 2004 as recognition for his hard work and determination. “People used to be amazed when they first saw me as the CEO of Geocell,” recalls modest Turan. But it was not easy. Due to his age, some were even skeptical about his capabilities as CEO. But with talent, hard work, focused mindset and approach, he proved himself and even engaged his critics.

This dynamic 38 year old has not only been awarded with the Best Business Person for three consecutive years, but under his supervision Geocell was also declared as the Best Business Company. Both Turan and Geocell are the first example as individual and company to win the prestigious Business National Award in Georgia for three consecutive years.

Turan success mantra is the correct expedition of three things - communication, activities and timing. According to Turan, sales is basically based on proper relationships and he insists on creating a rapport with the customers. He is confident that working in Nepal will be a pleasant experience. “Though Georgia is specific and different in tradition, Turkish and Georgians value relationships just like Nepalis. People, relationships and mutual respect are similar in all three countries.”

Turan’s plans for Nepal are to introduce new technology and modern offers and to keep up with the speed of the world at the same time, respecting local cultures, traditions and values. “We are a modern company. Hence, we will bring new technology, but at the same time we will always respect local values and traditions,” states Turan.
