PTC is a public institution wholly owned by the state and created in 1981. Its goal is to provide telecommunications services to the Yemeni citizen. It operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. PTC provides mainly telecommunications services and different technologies to all segments of society in the various communities in rural and urban areas alike, and to ensure the right of every citizen individuals, groups or sectors to have access to communications and technology.
