Autorité de Régulation de la Poste et des Télécommunications (ARPT)

L'Autorité de Régulation de la Poste et des Télécommunications (ARPT) a été créée dans le cadre de la libéralisation des marchés postal et des télécommunications. Leur ouverture à la concurrence et à la promotion de la participation de l'investissement privé dans ces marchés ont été consacrés par la loi fixant les règles générales relatives à la poste et aux télécommunications Pour l'accomplissement de ses missions en toute indépendance, l'Autorité de régulation est dotée d'organes se composant d'un Conseil de 7 membres et d'un Directeur Général désignés et nommé par le Président de la République. Le Président du Conseil est également désigné par le Président de la République.

European Communications Office

The European Communications Office (ECO) is the Secretariat of the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CEPT), an organisation where policy makers and regulators from 48 countries across Europe collaborate to harmonise telecommunication, radio spectrum and postal regulations.
ECO provides advice and support to CEPT to help it to develop and deliver its policies and decisions in an effective and transparent way. Its core duties are to provide a European centre of expertise in electronic communications, to contribute to the work of the three CEPT committees and to manage CEPT’s day-to-day activities.
ECO further supports CEPT member countries and other stakeholders providing a forum to debate and advance European communications policy for the benefit of all Europe’s citizens.”

European Competitive Telecommunications Association

The European Competitive Telecommunications Association was founded in 1998, and supports the regulatory and commercial interests of new entrant telecoms operators, ISPs and suppliers of products and services to the communications industry. We work for a fair regulatory environment which allows all electronic communications providers to compete on level terms in order to multiply investment and innovation throughout an effective European internal market. The association represents the telecommunications industry to key government and regulatory bodies and maintains a forum for networking and business development.

European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations

The European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations - CEPT - was established in 1959 by 19 countries, which expanded to 26 during its first ten years. Original members were the monopoly-holding postal and telecommunications administrations. CEPT's activities included co-operation on commercial, operational, regulatory and technical standardization issues. Today 48 countries are members of CEPT. The work of CEPT is conducted by three autonomous business Committees: The Electronic Communications Committee (ECC), The European Committee for Postal Regulation (CERP) and The Committee for ITU Policy (Com-ITU)

Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI)

The Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) was established in January 1985 as the only professional research organization specialized in policy studies regarding the information and communications sector. KISDI has conducted extensive research on the trend of IT industry, and the transformation of the traditional economic structure in the emerging information society. KISDI also carried out studies on a regulatory framework for fair competition in the telecommunications service market.
Along with development of the information and communications sector in Korea, KISDI has contributed to the overall competitiveness of the nation by providing the vision and policy direction to the government to gear up for the nowledge-based society.

National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT)

National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) is an incorporated administrative agency, was established by merging the Communications Research Laboratory (CRL), an incorporated administrative agency and the Telecommunications Advancement Organization (TAO). It is located at Koganei, Tokyo, Japan. NICT was established in 2004 when Japan's Communications Research Laboratory (established 1896) merged with the Telecommunications Advancement Organization. Today NICT's mission is to carry out research and development in the field of information and communications technology. It has a range of responsibilities including generating and disseminating Japan's national frequency and time standards; conducting type approval tests of radio equipment for the Global Maritime Distress Safety System (GMDSS) and marine radar based on Japan's Radio Law; and providing regular observations of the ionosphere and space weather.

Regional Commonwealth in the Field of Communications

Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications (RCC) was set up on December 17, 1991 in Moscow by the Heads of Communications Administrations (CA) of independent states with the mission to develop communications networks and facilities; coordination in the field of scientific and technical policy, radiospectrum management, tariff policies for communication services and settlements, staff training; interaction with the international organizations in the field of communications and informatization, information interchange as well as to carry out cooperation between new independent states in the field of telecommunication and postal communication.

COMTELCA es un Organismo Regional de Telecomunicaciones cuyo objetivo es coordinar y promover
la integración y el desarrollo de las telecomunicaciones de Centroamérica, así como las de
orden internacional, que satisfagan las necesidades de los clientes de la Región, por medio de
un marco jurídico que permita armonizar las regulaciones de cada país, administrar los
Sistemas de Telecomunicaciones y dictar las resoluciones con carácter de cumplimiento
obligatorio para sus Miembros. Forman parte de COMTELCA las siguientes Instituciones:
SIT, SIGET, CONATEL, TELCOR, ICE, ASEP, INDOTEL, HONDUTEL, ARESEP.

The ITU Association of Japan

The ITU Association of Japan (ITU-AJ) was founded on September 1, 1971 to coordinate Japanese activities in telecommunication and broadcasting sectors with international activities. Since then, ITU-AJ has been conducting cooperation/coordination works for international organizations including the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).The ITU-AJ, as its regular activities, organizes Study Meetings on Basic Matters for the ITU, ITU-T(Telecommunication standardization Sector), ITU-R (Radiocommunication Sector) and Digital Opportunities. In 1993, ITU-AJ joined the ITU's Development Sector (ITU-D).
