The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is pleased to invite your organization to the Workshop on Number Portability, Roaming and Efficient Operator modeling which will take place in Managua, Nicaragua, from 5 to 7 December 2011 at the kind invitation of TELCOR. This event is co-organized with COMTELCA.

The objective of the workshop is to promote cooperation and exchange of experiences among COMTELCA member states on Efficient Operator modeling, Roaming and Number Portability. Issues in which ITU has conducted and submitted studies to COMTELCA for the region. The Workshop will present the results from these studies and clarify the opportunities and threats of the different areas towards a better market regulatory environment at national level and within the sub-region.

Nomination of national experts

By the nature of the workshop, ITU kindly requests Administrations in Central America and Dominican Republic to nominate a national expert using the respective form. National experts should prepare at least one presentation on one of the topics. In this regard, ITU will cover travel and DSA costs for them.

COMTELCA has agreed to coordinate experts afterwards, to submit a written contribution to ITU-T Study Group 3 Regional Group for Latin America and the Caribbean(SG3RG-LAC).
