The Regional Meeting of
the Study Group 3 Regional Group for Asia and Oceania (SG3RG-AO)
followed the seminar at the beginning of the
afternoon on 29 May 2012 (1400 hours).
response to the request of Members, the agenda of the seminar
included topics related to charging, accounting and economic
issues of the use of next generation networks (NGN) in a
broadband environment, international IP interconnection,
international Internet connectivity, etc. In order to support
the works of the AO Regional Group, an overview on mobile roaming and tariff issues for cross-border
connectivity had been presented.
These seminar and meeting is addressed to Professionals involved in
regulation, price regulation, economic and finance issues,
pricing and cost modeling. In order to build on
work in progress and optimize transfer of knowledge, it is strongly
recommend that, where possible, administrations designate their
representative to the Regional Group for Asia and Oceania (SG3RG-AO)
to attend these seminar and meeting or register an official who has the expertise
and responsibility for matters of regulation, costs and tariffs.
