Over 40% of the world's population lives in rural and remote areas of developing
countries.
The final report of Focus Group 7 New
Technologies for Rural Applications provides technical analysis together with six final
recommendations designed to respond to the challenges of rural connectivity
and access.
The report is also available in French
or Spanish and the final report can be ordered

In order to implement recommendations, a special Task Force has been
established and is funded by Japan and chaired by Mr.Yasuhiko Kawasumi.
