Taking into consideration BDT's experiences in field of capacity
building, policy and regulation as well as noting the Resolution 37
of the World Telecommunication
Development Conference (Hyderabad 2010), Resolution 139 of the Plenipotentiary Conference
(Guadalajara, 2010) and the World Summit on the Information Society throughout the
Geneva Plan of Action, ITU is mandated to play a leading role development and
promotion of broadband regulation throughout its Member
States.
In this context, it is our pleasure to present results of a project
on New Legislative Paradigms Fostering Development of Broadband
Infrastructure (NLP-BBI) that was carried out jointly with the
Ministry of Infrastructure,
Republic of Poland. This project aimed at delivering a know-how on good practice and broadband regulation
due the course of six months study period focusing on the legislative development of
four different regions (AFR/ASP/AMS/EUR) and with the lead focus on the
latest
Act of Polish Administration on Support for Development of
Telecommunications Services and Networks.
