DIEGO MOLANO, Minister, Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies, Colombia

Diego Molano is an Electronic Engineer from Universidad Javeriana, Magister in Economics and on Business Administration (MBA) from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland.
 He worked as Director of the Communications Regulatory Commission of Colombia between 1996 and 2000, and occupied several senior management positions at Ascom (Switzerland), BellSouth (USA) and Telefónica (Spain) where he was responsible for operations in the areas of corporate relations, business and regulations in 20 countries worldwide.

He has been member of the board of many business associations such as the American Association of Telecommunications Operators, the Mercosur Business Forum-Europe (MEBF), European Business Forum, Brazil and the United States Chamber of Commerce of Colombia, in Spain. He was also founder and president of the Association of Telecommunications Regulators in Latin America (Regulatel).
Since August 2010 he serves as Minister of Information and Communications Technologies.
