ITU has planned to provide technical assistance for an e-commerce project implementation in Mali converged with IP projects undertaken by the ITU ECDC at the Office
national des postes du Mali (ONP).
The Ministry of Communications, the ONP and SOTELMA will work with the ITU in deploying a Registration Authority in Mali. In–kind donation from ITU ECDC partners will be used to deploy this project. Potential operator for the RA: the
ONP.
Discussion will be undertaken between the ITU expert and the ICT Committee on how the last can effectively put in place a core team for implementation of e-services based on their objectives and needs.
The ECDC Project Manager will undertake a mission to Mali to advise on strategies necessary for the creation of e-services (such as e-government and e-business) that will use the services of the Registration Authority (RA) and to provide the ICT Committee core team with the necessary information on what is possible to do, how can it be done, and what are the advantages of doing it.
The ECDC Project Manager will advice potential users (such as the CCI, Ministry of Trade, etc.) on how the solutions for secure business to business (B2B) marketplace created as a result of the ITU-WTC-WISeKey Partnership Agreement can be used to enhance economic activities.
