The
ECDC Project Manager will participate at the High Level Symposium on
Developing and Sustaining the Competitive Advantage of Mauritius,
Issues and Challenges to be held from 23 to 25 April 2001 at the
Balaclava, Mauritius. The Symposium is organised by the Mauritius
Employers Federation (MEF), the Mauritian
Institute of Management (MIM) in collaboration with
the International Labour Organisation (ILO) and the International
Telecommunication Union (ITU).
The
themes of the symposium will be concentrated on Productivity
and Competitiveness, and The
New Economy in which the ECDC Project Manager will give a
presentation on E-business Technology Strategy for
Developing Countries.
On
the last day, two special workshops are planned on the New
Developments in the Company Competitive Strategies and E-Business
– Building Trust in E-Business. The later will be led by the ITU
ECDC Project Manager who intends to do a short
demonstration to show how e-trust works and the vital role it plays
in e-business transactions.
The
targeted audience is composed by Chief
Executives in the private sector and top level civil servants,
policy makers in the public sector and representatives of natural
institutions.
