A delegation of Ericsson, headed by Mr. Ulf Pehrsson, VP, Government & Industry Relations, visited BDT to discuss further cooperation steps. The Director presented the new flagship initiatives (Wireless Broadband, Connecting Villages, Connecting Children and the ITU Academy) as well as the special campaigns regarding empowering People - Youth Education Scheme and Saving Lifes - Emergency Communications. He also introduced the 2009 agenda of events, and in particular WTPF, GILF and ITU TELECOM World. Mr. Pehrsson welcomed the various initiatives, assured the Director of Ericsson's full commitment and support, and steps were taken to ensure further cooperation between the parties.
